Our Values

These values help guide our Church. They are the lenses which we view the world through. We focus on four areas to shape and mold followers of Jesus into resilient disciples:

Communion

Communion

We believe you were created for relationship with God and with others. Our deepest longings are met by being known by God and a community.

Formation

Formation

We are all being shaped by something. Jesus invites us to become like him for the sake of others. Through the ancient practices of Jesus we can be transformed from the inside out.

Calling

Calling

God calls all of us, whether big or small, to participate in the kingdom. We believe God uses each of us as tangible expressions of His presence in the city.

Simplicity

Simplicity

Modern life is full of distractions that keep us from what matters. Simplicity emphasizes contentment and allows the Holy Spirit to shape our life rhythms allowing for space in community and the presence of God.

What are the core beliefs of Communion Church?
Dropdown icon
The Triune Godhead

There is one God, who is infinitely perfect, existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus was born of the Holy Spirit by the Virgin Mary and died on the cross for our salvation. We believe he rose again and ascended to heaven. He will come again to establish His kingdom, righteousness and peace.

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is a divine person, sent to indwell, guide, teach, empower the believer, and convince the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment.

Sin and Salvation

Everyone is born with a sinful nature, are separated from the life of God, and can be saved only through the atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Bible

The Old and New Testaments, inerrant as originally given, were verbally inspired by God. They reveal His plan for our salvation and are the only standard of Christian faith and practice.

The Church

The Church consists of all those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, are redeemed through His blood, and are born again of the Holy Spirit.

If you have any other questions about our beliefs, please email us and we will get back to you.
